What We Do
Reflecting the love of Christ to Englewood, Sheridan, Littleton, Greenwood Village and Cherry Hills Village women and children recovering from trauma including:
– Domestic violence
– Previous incarceration
OUR METHODS SINCE 2003
-Safe paid employment at faith-based locations
-Sustainable life skills
-Provision of domestic abuse/violence education and resources in collaboration with community and faith-based partners
We consider it a privilege to come alongside women recovering from trauma. Hundreds of lives have been restored at Second Chances Thrive (SCT).
Our program is homeless friendly and felon friendly. No GED is required, and women are allowed to live with family, friends, or independently as they participate. We provide compassionate community for women, especially mothers and grandmothers as they leave their burdened and scarred pasts and progress from being labeled to becoming leaders. All SCT leaders work towards stability in paid safe employment. They learn valuable job skills and receive life skills guidance and technology education from volunteer coaches and peer mentors. Their progress accelerates when they are in committed coaching relationships. Our most motivated graduate completed SCT program in three months.
